Actor Abhishek Bachchan celebrated a major milestone as he completed 25 years in the Indian film industry, receiving heartfelt tributes from fans and his legendary father, Amitabh Bachchan.
Having made his debut with the 2000 film ‘Refugee’, Abhishek has built a diverse and enduring career across cinema and digital platforms, including acclaimed performances in ‘Breathe’ and ‘Kaalidhar Laapata’.
To mark his silver jubilee in the industry, Abhishek met fans at a special screening of Kaalidhar Laapata in Mumbai on June 30, 2025. Fans celebrated the occasion with cake, flowers, and personalized gifts, with Abhishek warmly engaging with them in a moment filled with gratitude and nostalgia.
The celebration extended online, with Amitabh Bachchan expressing immense pride in his son. Reacting to a fan tribute on social media platform X, the megastar wrote: “Is variety ko maine pranaam karta hoon, aur apne putra ki sarahna karta hoon. Jee haan, pita hoon main uska, aur mere liye mera putra Abhishek sarahna karne yogya hai” (“I bow to this variety and applaud my son. Yes, I am his father, and for me, my son Abhishek is worthy of praise.”)
In another post, Big B also revealed that Abhishek has begun filming ‘King’, a highly anticipated project co-starring Shah Rukh Khan. He shared, “First day of shooting for the film ‘King’… one arc is about to release, and another begins.”
Abhishek’s career began with Refugee, also the debut film for Kareena Kapoor Khan, directed by JP Dutta. The film was inspired by the short story Love Across the Salt Desert by Keki N. Daruwalla, and told the tale of cross-border human experiences through the Rann of Kutch.
